Therapeutic Qigong Courses
My name is Des Lawton and I have over 30 years experience in teaching Qigong with over 25 years, professional, experience as a Shiatsu Practitioner and Qigong Practitioner.
The mounting cost of attending regular appointments with a therapist is often not affordable for many people, whether that is financially or time time away from your employment. As a therapist, my goal has always been to make a difference and help as many people as possible. One way that I have done this is by teaching specific Qigong to clients with chronic ailments. This has enabled them to take control and start the process of regaining quality of life. The benefits were obvious from the positive results gained and the amazing feedback that I have received.
On completion of these, short, Therapeutic Qigong courses you will be able to practice these exercises. Exercises that, when practiced properly, will empower you and help you win back your life. The courses are structured in exactly the same way that I teach my patients. You need to adhere to that structure to gain the benefits. Please follow that structure as it provides all the information you need in order to do the Qigong properly.

Qigong for Hypertension
In Traditional Chinese Medicine there are many recognized triggers for Hypertension and each Qigong exercise in this course deals with a different trigger.
The Qigong here cover five of the most common triggers so least one of them is going to have a beneficial impact. In fact they will all be beneficial but at least one of them will be working on the Hypertension.

Qigong for Back Pain
This is a group of Qigong that can assist in ridding sufferers of chronic pain and helping them on the road to recovery. Any chronic pain will also have a psychological impact on the sufferer that can lead to lethargy and depression. Qigong, when practiced properly, increases energy, vitality and mood.

Qigong for Stress & Anxiety
As far as benefits are concerned, I think that the title of this course does not go far enough in getting the message over. Yes, it tells you that the main, the overall, benefit is in overcoming anxiety and stress. But these Qigong can also help you to stop that anxiety, or stress, recurring before it has a chance to get another grip of you.

Qigong for Fibromyalgia
The three exercises shown in the course are among the most common of those that I prescribe and they should provide relief from symptoms. But as everyone is different their Fibromyalgia symptoms can also be different. This means that tailored treatment is more likely to be successful in keeping symptoms at bay and empowering the sufferer, giving them the opportunity to be proactive when dealing with their condition. That said, the three exercises that I have selected for the course should reduce many of the symptoms as they are among those most commonly prescribed.

Qigong for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Practicing true Qigong can have a huge impact on people who are suffering with this ailment. As part of my Shiatsu practice I often teach/prescribe appropriate Qigong for CFS to patients. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also referred to as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis [ME] or Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease [SEID]) is extremely debilitating and care has to be taken during treatment so that energy is not drained any further. True Qigong, when practiced properly, increases energy, vitality and stamina.
