- “I have been a qigong student for 30 years. It is very challenging to find a qigong teacher who will tell you the energetics and meridian flows that go with the movements. The energetics is what makes the exercises vastly different from their simple movements. I can tell the difference in my body after only one week of 15 minutes a day. Awesome course.” E.B
- “I can do this even on my worst days and feel like I’ve increased my energy. The pace is just what I need.” Deborah Hill
- “I am completely new to Qigong. I was interested in giving it a try, but didn’t know where to start. I am so pleased I found this course, which is specially tailored Qigong for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Des is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, and is an excellent teacher. His instructions are very clear and easy to understand, and it is great that he has an understanding of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and really cares about the health and wellbeing of his students. The course is divided into small bite-sized sections, which makes it easy to take in all the detailed instruction without ever feeling overwhelmed. I have now finished the course and will be practicing these exercises daily, while coming back to the instructions regularly to refresh my learning. I am looking forward to discovering the benefits to my health over the coming weeks and months.” Emma O
- “It works. Love his courses. Wonderful human being” Arunprasath Kathiresan
- “Excellent course. Well suited for someone with CFS. With the seated instructions I feel I can do the movements, it does not feel above my ability. I really enjoyed the way Des teaches – calm, clear and encouraging. Highly recommended.” Deborah Anker

Des Lawton is a Shiatsu Practitioner, Qigong Practitioner who has been teaching Taiji and Qigong since the late 1980’s. This Qigong for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome course is part of a series of Qigong for chronic ailments that he has produced.
The first thing I want to point out is that the price does not reflect the quality of this course. It has been kept to a minimum so that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers have easy, inexpensive, access to these exercises. The course and the exercises are superb. Des empowers some of his Shiatsu clients, those with chronic conditions, by teaching them the Qigong exercises that are most suited to their needs.
This includes Qigong for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and, more recently, Long Covid. In doing so his aim is to get the person well in as short a time as possible and for that level of wellness to be maintained. This is not good business strategy as it means that his patients need to see him much less frequently and, in some cases, their ailment is reduced to the extent that they cease to be patients and become clients who have Shiatsu for relaxation and peacefulness. His aim has always been to make a difference………. not a fortune.
Qigong does not produce quick fixes but, through time and practice, it has a cumulative effect on health and wellbeing. How long it takes is dependent on many factors, the biggest two being frequency and quality of practice. If you follow Des’s guidelines in this Qigong for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome course I feel sure that you will notice a difference……… but try to be patient with yourself and give the Qigong (and yourself) a chance.
“Des Lawton is clearly at the cutting edge of Energy work today, and his sensitivity, humour, and instructional abilities integrate beautifully. This has enabled him to teach at all levels, bringing oriental thoughts & concepts to occidental minds, making these concepts tangible, and demystifying them.”
“Des Lawton demonstrates teaching-integrity and respect for his students, and knows how to facilitate student understanding, awareness and true progress, encouraging the students’ desire to learn. I’ve taken other courses from people who may know how to go through the outer movements with good form themselves and have impressive “temple” credentials and an exotic nationality, but they lack the ability to impart knowledge which is the essential attribute of a teacher and also calls into question their own depth of understanding.”
